Languedoc Roussillon, France
"A blend of 50% Grenache Blanc (from vines over 100 years of age), 30% Chardonnay and 20% Marsanne (all planted on pure schist soils), the 2012 Cote d’Est VDP Cotes Catalanes was aged in stainless steel and fermented on its lees. The result is a singular, honeyed, big, lush, exotic white wine with a lot of gout de petrol, beeswax and orange marmalade notes. Medium-bodied and dry with undeniable minerality, this fruit cocktail-styled wine should be enjoyed over the next 12-18 months."
