Vouvray, Loire Valley, France
This non-vintage sparkling wine is composed of a selection of juice from the vines of the "Garden of France," the Loire Valley, an enchanted land of vineyards, flowers and rolling green hills dotted with more than a thousand châteaux. The wines are vinified, blended and bottled in the Bove cellars, an underground quarry abandoned after it had been used to build the Loire châteaux. Made according to traditional methods, the secondary fermentation takes place in the bottle over a period of about four months. The wine is 100% Chenin Blanc, light golden in color, with small, long-lasting bubbles. Full and frothy upfront with almond, fig and pear flavors, it is a festive wine for a festive time!
